My idea of a wagon now. :)
Missus’s idea of a wagon.
The missus decides she wants a wagon, so for the same money which one would you be keen on?
Both are available under $10,000 (US Dollars), drives well, decent mechanically with minimal post-purchase work required.
School me your thoughts.

by the look of the pics you’re in Thailandd , so i’d be inclined to lean to Toyota.

I actually got my dad hooked onto the idea of a Japanese Imported Toyota Hilux Surf, but he was highly turned off on driving RHD in a LHD country.

Tricky pickle of a question. Can you find a more attractive version of the second?

I’d go with the 2 dr 4-runner. I had one in the early 90's it was great, slow but great.

if 8 out of 10 drug cartels, and the Arab terrorists, prefer them .(for their durability). and top gear couldnt kill it, resonably. they YOU would be hard pressed to put one down.
money well spent on the toyota.

I’d lean towards the Toyota as well, but I do already possess a Hilux for my daily drive and the missus a damned Prius.

The only issue with Volvos here in Thailand would be the abysmal cost of maintenance hence not many are available.
